A. I'm based in Geelong, Victoria, Australia. My home studio is in Armstrong Creek, just 10 minutes from Torquay. I can travel up to 45km from my home at no extra charge. A $100 travel fee applies if session takes place outside of my 45km radius to cover fuel and time.

A. Golden hour maternity & family sessions take place on Monday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings. They begin one hour before sunset which of course changes throughout the year. A maternity session is best photographed between your 32- 36 week mark.
Newborn sessions run at 10am on weekdays for approximately 2 to 3 hours to allow time for feeding/settling. Newborn sessions are best captured within the first 2 weeks of life if you want to capture that sleepy, curly stage that disappears quickly!

A. Due to my young family of 5 and a busy weekday schedule, I reserve weekends for my family time. My husband also plays in a band and gigs on weekends which makes the juggle real!
Weekend sessions are sometimes available on request and incur a $100 fee.

A. Approx 2-4 weeks after your session, you’ll receive a link to your online gallery to view the images, these will be lightly edited. You can then select your favourite images, the amount of images depends on which package you chose or you can upgrade to the full gallery. The final retouched edits will be delivered via a digital download link and any included prints from your package will be posted to your door.

A. It will take roughly 4 to 6 weeks to receive your final edited images. I put a lot of love and care into perfecting each image, which is why it’ll take me a little bit more time to deliver your final retouched images.

A. If you are uncomfortable with your photos being shared on my social media platforms or website, I will respect that. Just have a friendly chat with me about it.

A. If something happened and I couldn't attend your shoot within a time frame of you still being pregnant, your bub still being small or a date that suits your family, I have contacts all over the area who would be able to step in. These are other talented photographers who will take good care of you. If we can reschedule, I can just find the next available date that suits us both.

A. I know sometimes the time is not ideal, especially during daylight savings. That's why I send you lots of tips on how to prepare and get the most out of the older sibling/s at this later time of evening. Don't worry, it's only one night and the magic soft light is worth it! We MIGHT even get a pretty sunset.

A. To secure your booking date, the session fee is due (bank transfer, PayPal, Payin4 or credit card payments accepted). Then your selected image collection payment is not due until the day of your session. This can be paid via bank transfer, PayPal, credit card or even good old fashioned cash (just let me know if you'd like to pay in cash!). Once the gallery is viewed, upgrades can be made to the full gallery too. If you need a payment plan, we can organise to split your payments into 4 fortnightly instalments - just let me know if you need this. Final images would be delivered once the last instalment has been received.

A. Of course, I'd love for you to print your photos! If you've invested in professional photography it is so important that you enjoy your images on your wall or in a book, not just on your phone. You can order from me anytime and I highly recommend using my professional printing service for anything that's going on a wall or in a special album. I can help you design your wall or album with my personalised service. Otherwise, please avoid the generic printers like Kmart, Harvey Norman, Big W etc. The print will not match the colours of a professional edit, skin tones will be orange or grey and images can appear fuzzy with banding appearing etc. Of course these cheaper services have their place, for school projects and bday invitations!

A. Ah yes... Victorian weather. So unpredictable. We may need to reschedule if it's raining or if the wind is above 25km per hour. Sometimes we can choose a more sheltered location from the wind like bush over beach. I will try and reschedule you to a session date asap but sometimes during peak times we may have to wait a few weeks. If it's just cold, the most important thing is to rug up any older siblings and yourselves in cosy knits and layers! Cold kids are definitely grumpy kids. I have a beautiful chunky knit cardigan and a gorgeous rockstar-like coat in my client wardrobe I can bring along for the mama! *Note: If you have booked hair and make-up, please mention it to them and check their cancellation policy in case we need to do a weather reschedule.

A. Flaky skin is iconic! All babies shed some skin in those first few weeks, because they were used to living in a bubble of fluid! This is something you will look back at fondly so I do not remove it as it shows how new they were. Same goes for birth, stork marks and milk pimples. All precious, all of it a beautiful reminder of when they were small.

A. As a birth photographer as well, I understand you don't know when your baby will be born! On booking, I give you a session day and time but please email me to announce your baby's birth as soon as you can in case we have to adjust the day due to an early or late birth. This session is for when your bub is 2 weeks or under, this is due to them being more sleepy, legs curly, less rashy and super tiny during this time. Sessions take place on weekdays 10am until approx 12 or 1pm.

A. I will send you my exclusive location guide filled with samples of what each of my locations can look like so that you can choose your preference. Bush or beach? I have been through and hunted down so many locations over the years and I am so thrilled with the unique and secret ones I have to offer you now!

A. Family sessions are best suited to babies from 3 months of age and beyond, once they’re more alert and settled. Newborn sessions are intentionally slower and more flexible, allowing for feeding, cuddles and rest, and are designed specifically for those very early days.

A. Yes. You’ll receive three sneak peek images to keep you going, within 2 or 3 days of your session!
